5) Survey to Calculate Carbon Emissions emitted by commuting to AIT - AIT's Net Zero Commitment
Email from the Director of OSC on 21 September 2023

Dear AIT Community,

This is our second gentle reminder to fill out the survey form. As AIT embarks to be a net zero campus by 2030, sincere participation, commitment, and involvement of the AIT community is one of the key driving factors to achieving the target.

Unfortunately, to date, we have not even received inputs from 10% of the AIT community members. As mentioned in my earlier email we encourage maximum inputs to calculate more accurate emissions due to transportation. The survey will be closed on 27 September 2023.

6) AIT NSTDA Friendship Bridge Architectural Design Competition - Unleash Your Creativity!

Email from the Director of OSC on 22 September 2023.

Dear AIT Community and Partner Organizations,

We are delighted to announce the launch of the AIT NSTDA Friendship Bridge Architectural Design Competition, a significant step in our journey towards sustainability and our vision of transforming AIT into a fully-fledged botanical garden campus, with a Net Zero target by 2030.

A crucial element of this transformative endeavor is the construction of a signature Wooden Bridge that will strategically link AIT to the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) Thailand Science Park. AIT is situated adjacent to the NSTDA Thailand Science Park, Thailand's largest science and technology research park, and in close proximity to Thammasat University. With the current AIT status of a 'Science and Technology Park' by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), the Wooden Bridge project symbolizes our commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and sustainability by physically connecting our campus to NSTDA. We aim to invite Thailand's top scientists, enterprises, and entrepreneurs to actively participate in our sustainable campus initiatives.

We invite all architects, designers, and creative minds to participate in the AIT NSTDA Friendship Bridge Architectural Design Competition. This competition provides a unique platform for you to showcase your innovative and sustainable bridge designs. We encourage you to consider not only the functional aspects but also the aesthetic and environmental dimensions of the bridge. The flyer is attached for your reference.

Please feel free to forward this invitation to the prospective designers who might be interested in participating in the design competition.

Key Competition Details:

Submission Deadline: 22 October 2023

Prize: 30,000 THB and honor of designer's name inscribed on the bridge
