1) 4th AIT-BNU Joint Seminar on “Sustainable Management of Water Resource and Environment in the Belt and Road Region”

 

AIT BRRC is pleased to invite you to the 4th AIT-BNU Joint Seminar on “Sustainable Management of Water Resource and Environment in the Belt and Road Region”

 

The College of Water Sciences of Beijing Normal University (BNU) was formally established in 2005.  It consists of the Institute of Hydrology and Water Resources, the Institute of Groundwater Science and Engineering, the Institute of Water Ecology and the Institute of Water Safety, Beijing Municipality Key Laboratory of Urban Water Circulation and Sponge City Technology and the Ministry of Education Engineering Research Center for Underground Water Pollution Control and Remediation, two university-level laboratories and two university-level research centers, and the “Environmental Emergency Management Technology Research Center” jointly established with the Ministry of Ecological Environment.

 

AIT and BNU have maintained good cooperation since 2019, and have organized several academic seminars in the past years to deepen the understanding of each other’s research and seek for further collaboration opportunities. This year, we decided to hold a hybrid seminar during their visit to AIT on 26 June.

 

The purpose of the visit is to foster collaboration, exchange knowledge, explore joint project opportunities, and strengthen academic ties between the visiting party and the two institutes, particularly in the fields of hydrology, water ecology, and environmental engineering.

2) The 2nd International Joint Student Seminar on “One Health, One World”

We are pleased to invite you and your student to attend the 2nd International Joint Student Seminar on “One Health, One World” jointly organized by Regional Network Office for Urban Safety (RNUS) from School of Engineering and Technology (SET), AIT and The University of Tokyo (OHOW-IIS).

3) Revised Annex 1 of PA-1-1-1

Email from the Director, Office of Academic Administration on 21 June 2023

On the endorsement of the AIT Management Team in its 15 June 2023 meeting, the President approved the Annex 1 (Salary Scale) of the Institute P&P on Employment of Faculty: General Work Regulations (PA-1-1-1) with effect from 1 July 2023.  Stipulations were added to item 2 of the Principles, allowing Faculty to spend up to three (3) months every year for their professional development, as well as for other revenue-generating activities to supplement their income, taking into consideration their regular duties and responsibilities.
