 1) International Women's Day | Panel Discussion on Women and Oceans

Join us for a Documentary film screening and Panel Discussion on “Women and Oceans!

The Embassy of France in Thailand, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) cordially invite you to commemorate the International Women’s Day 2022 with women scientists from France and Thailand on March 8, 2022, at 6PM, Alliance Française Bangkok and Online.

Healthy oceans are key to conserving the health and wellbeing of our planet, and important sources of livelihoods for billions around the world. Addressing global challenges through science has long been a sector where women are underrepresented. Although progress has been made in ensuring equal opportunities for women in science, there is still a big gap in ensuring women can thrive at higher levels.

To commemorate the International Women’s Day and raise awareness on women and oceans, join us at the hybrid event to listen to inspirational stories of women oceanographers, marine biologists, global environmental lawyers who have been engaged in studies and research on the ocean and its interaction with the environment.
