Professor Bhattacharya was a faculty member of AIT for more than two decades at the Energy field of study, School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) during 1982 – 2004. Just this April, Professor Bhattacharya was among the first group of former faculty members who have kindly accepted my invitation to serve as AIT’s Distinguished Adjunct Professor. In his response to my call to re-engage with AIT, Professor Bhattacharya told me in his email: "I look forward to getting involved in AIT's efforts to overcome its present difficulties.”
