(iv) Online Performance Appraisal 2019 (covering the period 1 July 2018-30 June 2019)

Email from Office of Human Resources Services (2 Jul. 2019)

To all immediate supervisors and Unit Directors of direct-hire (centrally-funded) staff members,

Please be informed that the online performance appraisal for this year 2019, covering the period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019, is now open. The annual online performance appraisal process was implemented in July 2014 following the approval of AIT Management.

The online system can be accessed through the “PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL” link in the HRIS menu (https://hris.ait.ac.th).  The immediate supervisors are able to now complete the individual Performance Appraisal Reports for all employees under their supervision, and submit them individually (electronically).  The Unit Heads shall then review and endorse all completed Performance Appraisal Reports not later than 12 September 2019.

The online / web-based system has archived the appraisal results from 2014 (“Appraisal History” link in the HRIS menu) and will build up annual data that will be available to directors / immediate supervisors and AIT Management.

The performance appraisal process will be carried out in conjunction with the annual budget process.  These annual performance appraisal results will be used for the purpose of determining the annual salary adjustment and staff training and development needs and will be taken into consideration in preparing the 2020 year budgets.
Should you encounter technical problems, please report them to Helpdesk (helpdesk@ait.asia ).  Please convey other feedback to HRO (hro@ait.asia ).

(v) Part-time job opportunity with Language Center during August 2019 Semester

Email from Language Center (12 Jul. 2019)

Dear students,

The Language Center offers mandatory English classes, EL, every semester. For EL 15, apart from learning academic writing in class, our students are required to attend the EL15 research seminar in which they have an opportunity to discuss research interests and their research topics in a friendly environment.

In order to help create such environment for our EL 15 students, Language Center is seeking assistance from students who already have completed their first semester with the English score of 6 or higher to mediate the seminar. As the mediator, the student is expected to follow our seminar outline, help the EL 15 students gain confidence speaking English, and provide constructive feedback on their informal presentation they will conduct during the seminar.  All sessions will be conducted in English only.

The seminar meets 4-5pm on selected days every week during the duration of the EL courses.

This is a paid position. If you are interested or need further information, please reply to the following email languages@ait.asia and we will get back to you.

(vi) More testing dates for EET on campus to be offered in the month of August 2019

Email from Language Center (10 Jul. 2019)

As we are expecting more applicants to apply for August 2019 after the deadline for the RTG Fellowship (25 July) up until the add/drop date (16 August), Language Center will offer more testing dates for EET on campus to accommodate this group of applicants. The dates are August 8th and 13th at 9 am. Applicants must register online.

However, it must be noted here that after the RTG fellowship deadline, only applicants with the score of 5.0 or higher will be eligible for admission as the special Bridging Program offered to RTG fellowship recipients with the score of 4.5 will start July 30th. Thus, those applying after July 25th, will not be able to join the Bridging Program and therefore must follow the regular minimum requirements for conditional offers (5.0 for Master's students and 5.5 for Doctoral students).
